I recently tried to upgrade from version 1.4 to 2.0 because I need to be able to display videos in the loop. But after I activate the plugin all my admin screens go blank and in order to get back admin functionality I have to uninstall version 2.0. Can anyone offer any advice?

Flevato, well, there is definitely an error. I can help you resolve it but you'll need to have PHP error displaying turned on for your site so that we know what the error is.

Will this display errors in the browser? And is there a specific setting in php.ini I should use? I don't have direct access to that part of the server as it's a client's site but they will have there IT person change whatever setting we need for this. So if you can let me know that would be great.

Yes it will display errors in the browser. I would try htaccess before altering you ini file.
